National Apprenticeship Conference
The health sector has exceeded its aim to recruit 5,000 public sector apprentices, Health Secretary Andy Burnham told delegates at the NHS National Apprenticeship Conference in London on 25 February. Mr Burnham said that healthcare employers had delivered a five-fold increase in public sector apprentice numbers since February 2009. “This is an incredible achievement in just 12 months,” he said.
