Our Health Heroes Awards 2020

The national Our Health Heroes Awards have been running for five amazing years, recognising and celebrating the thousands of people working in our NHS and healthcare sector. Over 40% of the NHS workforce is made up of support roles, without whom, the service simply couldn't survive.

Our Health Heroes Awards shine a light on the incredible work that these somewhat 'unsung' staff deliver, day-after-day, both in our NHS and across our wider healthcare workforce. We would usually be busy preparing for the launch of the Awards campaign in Spring, however due to the current situation, we have taken the decision to postpone the awards for 2020, to allow our sector to focus on the incredible job at hand.

Whilst it's more vital than ever before to ensure our remarkable NHS are given the recognition they deserve, we feel that the best use of time and resources right now, should be dedicated to supporting their front-line efforts. Since coronavirus broke out, our working world, and moreover society has changed so dramatically, that who you work with has never been more important. And we want to ensure that your people get the recognition they deserve today with a simple and positive message.

#OurHealthHeroes is still as important as ever. However, instead of asking for award nominations at this challenging time, we'd like to invite you to simply send us a quick snapshot and comment of any individuals, or teams, who over the coming days and weeks, we can help you celebrate, by sharing their story with our audience on Twitter.

Simply email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with a brief sentence about who you'd like to celebrate, and we'll do the rest. Please include your twitter handle and that of the person, or team you're submitting, if you have it, so we can tag you both.
