Artificial intelligence (AI) is playing an increasingly prominent role in how health services are delivered, with significant national investment accelerating its adoption across the NHS. While the potential to improve patient experience and support new ways of working is clear, important questions remain about what these changes mean for the workforce.
In response, Skills for Health has launched a new survey to better understand how AI is already shaping roles, skills and day-to-day practice across the healthcare sector.
The survey aims to capture frontline perspectives on how AI is being used in practice, as well as the opportunities it presents for improving care and workforce productivity. It will also explore any concerns or risks associated with its growing adoption, alongside the skills, education and training needed to support the workforce in the years ahead.
By gathering insights directly from professionals working across health and care, Skills for Health aims to build a clearer picture of workforce sentiment. The findings will help inform future approaches to workforce planning, training and policy development, as well as contribute to wider sector discussions about the safe and effective use of AI.
All responses will be anonymised, ensuring that participants can share their experiences openly. The survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.
