National Occupational Standards explain required skills for adult mental health healthcare services

Mental health and well being is essential for every member of the community and is now a priority for service providers. There is increasing recognition of the connection between mental health, employment and the criminal justice system.


National Occupational Standards There are a series of National Occupational Standards to describe what individuals working in adult mental health healthcare services need to do, what they need to know and which skills they need in order to carry out an activity. The NOS have been updated and revised in 2013 to reflect current practice and further information about the changes can be found here.
