The Non-custodial Career and Competence Framework part of the NHS England Health and Justice Inclusive Workforce Programme, which aims to ‘Improve the recruitment and retention of a larger, more diverse, inclusive and representative workforce for all Health & Justice services and programmes’.
This framework will support Health Education England to achieve the aims of the ten-point action plan. The Framework provides a standard and greater clarity on the scope of practice for nurses working within primary care and general practice settings.
This Career and Competence Framework articulates the key competences, knowledge and behaviours required to underpin and promote quality services to meet the needs of adults in the secure and detained estate.
This Career and Competence Framework has been developed with experts from this area to support the growth and development of the workforce within the Children and Young People’s Complex Needs Pathway.
