Our Quality Assurance service focuses on ensuring training provision offered to the health sector is consistent, relevant and designed and delivered to a high standard.

We can offer individual services or an end to end service looking at every part of your training and development, to give you confidence that your offer has been quality assured by a recognised process and is relevant to the health sector.

Quality Assurance Diagnostic Programme

Our Quality Assurance Diagnostic Programme will audit your current practice and performance and offer guidance on streamlining systems, policies and procedures to help you deliver a high-quality training offer and develop a competitive advantage. Using nationally recognised standards and a range of audit and assessment techniques our consultants provide comprehensive reports detailing the current position, recommendations and next steps. The diagnostic programme benefits training providers – commercial, in-house and aspiring, and supports organisations with Ofsted preparation and RoATP applications.

Are You Apprenticeship Ready audits

We similarly deliver Are You Apprenticeship Ready audits for organisations either stepping into the apprenticeship arena or wanting to audit their delivery to ensure a solid, robust framework is in place. The programme will audit your current practice and offer guidance on building apprenticeships into your workforce strategy, developing effective learning programmes and ensuring that all learners are supported and developed to their full capability.

Organisations who have been through the Diagnostic Programme will often consider the Skills for Health Quality Mark and the Core Skills Training Framework Verification to complete a holistic review and endorsement of their systems, content design and delivery.

Skills for Health Quality Mark

The Skills for Health Quality Mark focuses on training delivery and is the health sector’s only independent, sector specific quality assurance audit, providing a framework that defines and endorses superior learning and education. The Quality Mark is recognised by the Professional Standards Agency for Health and Social Care as the ‘Gold Standard’ in quality assurance and is being used by a growing number of training providers as a sign of their commitment to offering high quality education and training.

The Affiliate Provider endorsement helps organisations measure their readiness for the Quality Mark and is, as a stand-alone endorsement, a useful process for assessing your quality assurance processes and engagement with the health sector.

Core Skills Training Framework

The Core Skills Training Framework focuses on the course design and content and prescribes detailed learning outcomes, standards and guidance for statutory and mandatory training across the health sector. This enables training providers to develop their training content to a recognised and valued standard.

We provide organisations with independent verification that their training aligns with the UK Core Skills Training Framework. Organisations who have been through this process are then included in the Directory of Aligned Training Providers or the Directory of Commercial Training Providers which is visible to healthcare employers. The Kitemark awarded to these organisations and their listing on the Directory, gives employers and their learners confidence that the training aligns with nationally recognised standards.
