Image: Patchwork logo.We are pleased to announce that we have established an exciting new partnership with digital health company Patchwork. Going forward, the two companies will be working closely to bring an innovation-led approach to NHS clinical staffing.

The partnership will focus on improving interoperability between NHS staffing systems; a core offering needed to unlock much needed change in the sector. The partnership will bring together Patchwork’s award-winning bank staff platform with Skills for Health’s versatile Realtime Rostering software.

Working together, both systems will deliver the next generation in integrated e-rostering and bank staff solutions. The joined-up offering will reduce costs, save administrative time, increase bank fill rates and ensure clinical staff can easily source and secure shifts.

Realtime Rostering is a market-leading rostering software system in Scotland, with growing market share in England. Partnering with Patchwork will form a key part of Skills for Health’s ongoing strategic development of Realtime Rostering.

Skills for Health and Patchwork will collaborate across a range of areas to ensure customers receive a joined-up solution, reflecting the intentions of the NHS Five Year Forward View.

John Rogers, Chief Executive of Skills for Health, which is part of the Workforce Development Trust, said:

“We are delighted to be working with an innovative company like Patchwork. The strength of Patchwork as a partner increases the value of our rostering offer and makes life easier for our customers. It is an exciting time for both parties - we view this as just the start of a journey where our combined capabilities will deliver even more benefit to our customers in the future.

“As an organisation, we’re keen to forge partnerships with organisations that share our values in order to make the life of NHS staff easier, eliminate duplication, and reduce cost. Our partnership approach means we can flexibly deliver the best value and greatest benefit for our customers based on their specific needs.”

Dr Anas Nader, CEO and Co-founder of Patchwork, commented:

“We are delighted to partner with Skills for Health. We both come from the NHS grassroots and care passionately about supporting our health service and its hard-working clinicians.

“Skills for Health’s Realtime Rostering software is one of the most popular rostering products on the market. By working together to integrate it with our tech-enabled bank solution, we can offer an even more comprehensive workforce solution to NHS Trusts across the UK. We want to ensure our systems are interoperable with other leading solutions on the market, so that Trusts can continue to save money and create the best working environment for their staff.“

This new partnership arrangement will begin in the coming weeks, rolled out across NHS Trusts who already use both Patchwork and Skills for Health software.

We welcome enquiries from other Trusts who are interested in piloting the combined software in their organisations.
