As the host organisation of the South Yorkshire Regional Excellence centre (SYREC), STH have been the forerunner for this process.

This award recognises that STH, as a training provider, meets a national quality benchmark that promotes a safer, more competent workforce.

This quality mark is the ‘health sector’s first and only independent, sector specific quality assurance audit, providing a framework that defines and endorses superior learning and education’ and ‘epitomises the health sector’s finest ethics and values’ (https://www.nsahealth.org.uk/quality-mark).

SYREC have also recently been shortlisted for the Bradford University Partnership award though the Healthcare People Management Association (HMPA).

The HPMA Excellence Awards recognise and reward the outstanding work in healthcare human resource management, and SYREC have been nominated for the 'cross-sector working' award. The ceremony will be on 16 June, at the Hilton in Deansgate, Manchester.
