HSJ AwardsWe’re thrilled to be finalists for the HSJ Partnership Awards 2020 and suitably excited that the wait for the Ceremony is finally over this week as the event, hosted in London tomorrow, Thursday 27th November, showcases the most effective partnerships within the private sector and the NHS.

Following the shortlist announcement late last year, where our team at Healthcare Apprenticeship Standards Online (HASO) were nominated, together with partners Health Education England (HEE) in the Best Not for Profit Working in Partnership with the NHS category, we’re honoured to be attending to celebrate with such esteemed company, including leaders, providers, suppliers and not-for-profit organisations from across the healthcare sector.

Jane Hadfield, National Senior Programme Manager – Apprenticeships, HEE remarked: “This nomination stands as testament to HEE’s partnership working with employer support and leadership at the core, which sums up the ethos of our apprenticeship development programme.”

Now in its third year, the HSJ Partnership Awards boast a shortlist that includes an impressive inventory of organisations from the private sector to trusts and charities. Each of those nominated has demonstrated the real and positive value that collaborative projects can have on healthcare organisations and their patients.

Lucy Blinko, Manager NOS, Qualifications and Apprenticeships, Skills for Health commented: “The HASO team at Skills for Health are delighted to be recognised for their partnership working and be nominated for this award alongside so many other inspiring projects. Apprenticeships are key to workforce development and HASO is the go-to-site that helps employers to implement and manage them.”

The esteemed panel of judges, are drawn from across the NHS and other organisations and come from a range of backgrounds, including both clinicians and managers. Their pooled expertise is invaluable in assessing the entrants and deciding on the eventual winners. The rigorous judging process looked for partnerships which were effective and delivered real improvement for the NHS – whether through better value for money or improved services, or both.
