Information for providers

Apprenticeships are crucial in developing the skills of those who work in the Health Sector.

They are valued by employers and enable our staff to do their jobs confidently and competently.

There are over 80 different Apprenticeships, at different education levels, that are appropriate to over 100 different jobs within the health sector.

Skills for Health has developed these pages to provide information to employers, prospective Apprentices and to training providers

It offers a range of materials that demonstrate effective practice, most of which has been provided by Strategic Health Authorities and health sector employers

The NHS, CPD Apprenticeship Steering Group (CPDASG), chaired by the Department of Health and with membership drawn from a wide range of stakeholders, including NHS Employers and Trade Union representatives have agreed a Joint Position.
