This Executive summary outlines the main features of the first Sector Skills Agreement for health. The Sector Skills Agreement promotes a strategy for transforming the skills of the workforce to support improved services for patients and the population. It is strongly supported by Ministers, Government Departments, employers, Trade Unions and other key partners.
Stage 5 - SSA Collaborative Action Plan Framework (Scotland)
The Sector Skills Agreement for Health (SSA) represents consensus across the sector and the UK on the strategic direction for developing a more flexible workforce based on competence. This will support the sector to deliver improved quality of care for the population, increase skills and learning opportunities across the spectrum of the workforce and support significant productivity gains.
