During 2006 and 2007, Skills for Health undertook an extensive programme of work on behalf of Professor Sue Hill, Chief Scientific Officer, Department of Health, on profiling the pathology workforce.
The following document reports on the process and outcomes.
In the introduction to the report, Professor Sue Hill says that the results give valuable insights into the pathology workforce needed for the future, modernised pathology services and the workforce development that will be required.
