Sector Employability Toolkit
Skills for Health has developed a Sector Employability Toolkit (SET) to help employers recruiting for entry level jobs that are hard to fill and where there is a skills shortage.
It features:
- An employability checklist to identify the attitude, basic skills and behaviours expected at point of entry
- A one day selection event for raising awareness and recruitment to the programme, which includes advice on selection processes, including interviews and assessments
- A recruitment checklist which describes the employability skills, which the candidate will need to meet at the end of the training programme
- A detailed development programme consisting of two weeks’ pre-employment training which includes all learning materials
- a 3 week structured work trial, equipping individuals with the skills required to enter employment in the health sector at initial entry level (Level 1, Career Framework for Health).
