Pre and Post Intervention Competences Consultation -Milestone 3 Consultation Phase

You are invited to take part in a consultation and comment on the 5 new draft competences for Pre and Post Interventions and a further 3 new draft competences matched to an existent National Occupational Standard (NOS) and offer comments on the 25 revised existing NOS identified as appropriate to pre and post interventions. ( 33 competences in total)

The 5 new NOS have been developed for specific activities in pre and post interventions concerning:

The 3 new draft competences for comparison with existing National Occupational Standards are:

The 12 revised existing NOS include NOS identified within the patient pathway and a further 12 NOS support the patient pathway. They are listed below:

Additional 13 NOS to complement the pre and post functional map - some or all of these NOS listed below may be applicable to your role or workforce within Pre and Post Interventions

These 33 NOS activities are carried out by a range of practitioners working within pre and post interventions. If you carry out some (or all) of all of these activities as part of your role/job or you supervise people who carry out these activities, we would welcome your feedback on the relevant NOS for your roles/activity in this project consultation phase.

The Milestone 3 consultation phase will take place from 1st August until 31st October 2008. You can participate in this consultation through individual email and through participation in a pilot site consultation.

To receive a zipped file of the competences for electronic feedback please email either Project Manager Michelle Logan or Project Administrator Kim Elliott

Alternatively, the draft NOS and the feedback form for this consultation can be found and downloaded from the Documents tab on the project's webpate

To ensure we obtain sufficient UK wide consultation and to prevent peoples' email boxes becoming full, it would be most useful if you could send your individual feedback for this consultation phase to the project email address and please would you include your job role and location.

To register your interest in participating in a pilot site, please email kim elliott, cc'd to support@fletcherconsultancy.co.uk
