Skills for Health have organized two additional events for the health sector to contribute to the Health and Social Care Incremental Review. Skills for Health are working with lead partner SSC Skills for Care & Development to review the National Occupational Standards (NOS) in Health and Social Care.
The Incremental Review process is designed to ensure that NOS remain current and fit for purpose during the 5-year accreditation period.
The process for the Health and Social Care NOS has been identified as a 'light touch' review. Skills for Health have organised two additional events for the health sector to support and supplement the UK wide consultation events which have taken place as joint consultation input from the sectors. Skills for Care and Development have also collected feedback on issues since the launch of the NOS which will be incorporated into the overall review.
What is the Incremental Review going to address?
The Incremental Review will address the issues of grammar, duplication and anomalies that we have identified. Additionally, in the light of recent policy and practice developments, there are some key issues that have been raised by one or more of the Skills for Care Development partner organisations.
The events will be the only opportunity available for the health sector to contribute to the Health & Social Care Incremental Review and these will be held on the following days:
Thursday, 26th June 2008 at the Manchester Conference Centre in Manchester
Thursday, 3rd July at the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) in London
Should you or colleagues wish to attend these events then please fill in this form.
We welcome and value your input and attendance. Please note that both events are free to attend. Places are strictly limited so please book soon! Last bookings can be accepted by the 20th June 2008 for both events.
In addition to the events being held on the 26th June, and 3rd July we would very much value your support and input to the following questionnaire. Please feel free to circulate the questionnaire to health colleagues who deliver the Health and Social Care NOS in the health sector.
All completed questionnaires must be returned by Monday 7th July 2008 at the latest to:
