The Learning and Skills Council (LSC) has announced the nominees that have made it through to the finals of the fifth national Apprenticeship Awards as the Government urges more employers to offer Apprenticeship places in a year when entries to the Awards were up by 40 per cent. This year 1,400 entries were received, up from just over 1,000 last year.
The health sector is being represented by Claire Harrison who has beaten off stiff competition to become a finalist for the title of Apprentice of the Year for her Apprenticeship at Dales Pharmaceuticals, Skipton, North Yorkshire. To read more on the 2008 Apprenticeship awards click here .
