Skills for Health have been working in collaboration with London's workforce directors and HR directors, through HR for London and NHS Employers over the past 2 years in developing the ‘Streamlining Programme’.

The aim of this programme is to reduce the time and expenditure involved in three key areas:

  • Streamlining the changeover of junior doctors
  • Streamlining statutory and mandatory (StatMan) training
  • Streamlining pre-employment processes (references, health clearance, right to work, health clearance etc)

Gareth Jones, Assistant Director for Workforce at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, discusses his involvement with the Streamlining Programme and why he feels the programme is so important.

Streamlining Programme – recorded webinar audio now available

Download the audio and slides from our recent Streamlining Programme webinar. Programme directors Daniel Elkins and Deborah O'Dea discuss the background of the Streamlining Programme and its work to date, and answer questions from the delegates.

A number of resources will be available on our website in April that will give you access to further details about the programme, digital and written case studies and how to get involved.
