It has been a fantastic start to the New Year for everyone at Skills for Health; especially for the finance team who have beat out fierce competition to become just 1 of 7 Public Sector and Voluntary organisations to be shortlisted for the prestigious Finance Team of the Year Award.

In the past few years, Skills for Health has undergone vigorous corporate restructuring which has enhanced, strengthened and offered new initiatives to help develop a skilled, flexible and productive workforce to the whole UK Health Sector.

The finance teams’ entry to the 2nd Annual Business Finance Awards reflects their hard work, determination and diligence during this time, and present. Denise Morris, Executive Director for Finance and Contracting at Skills for Health says:

Skills for Health are delighted to have been shortlisted in the Business Finance Awards in the category ‘Finance Team of the Year: Public Sector and Voluntary. This is a real testament to the hard work, dedication and commitment of the relatively small finance team that we have within Skills for Health, through what have been some challenging times in the last eighteen months or so. We have some stiff competition but are hopeful that we can convince the assessors that we deserve to win this prestigious award.

Most recently, Skills for Health were contracted to launch a National Skills Academy for Health, an achievement which saw the finance team go above and beyond to support senior management in securing this recognition.

Skills for Health have numerous projects in the pipeline to be launched later this year, and with the contribution of the finance teams’ commitment, dedication and hard work, these projects will definitely be a success.

All of us at Skills for Health wish our finance team the very best of luck!
