Image: Mental Health Core Skills Education and Training FrameworkA draft of the Mental Health Core Skills Education and Training Framework is now available and we have launched an online consultation survey to obtain comments and feedback on the draft framework.

The framework has been commissioned by the Department of Health and is being developed in collaboration by Skills for Health, Skills for Care and Health Education England. The framework sets out the core skills and knowledge which would be transferable and applicable across different types of service provision. It includes expected learning outcomes for education and training delivery, key policy and legal references and is aligned to related national occupational standards. The aim is to help ensure the quality and consistency of mental health education and training, and to help prevent unnecessary duplication of training. This framework is being developed in parallel with a similar framework for learning disabilities.

The consultation survey can be accessed here

Please also download a copy of the draft framework here

Please complete the survey by the 25th of April
