In 2007 Skills for Health published the Sector Skills Agreement for Health (England). This document was developed following consultation across the health sector taking into account a series of formal research activities which identified a number of UK wide issues that would need to be addressed in the Sector Skills Agreement.

Skills for Health have been engaging with employers and key stakeholders from across the South East of England to develop a Sector Skills Agreement Action Plan for the region.

The document summarises the outcome of this consultation to date, including the key challenges regarding skills development in the health sector, the main issues and proposed actions for resolving these issues.
