Skills for Health Board Member
Skills for Health is the licensed Sector Skills Council for the whole UK health sector, including NHS, independent and voluntary sector employers. Our role is to help develop a better skilled, flexible and more productive workforce to improve the quality of health and healthcare.
Skills for Health is driven by the needs of employers. The Board reflects the whole of the health sector across the UK, provides strategic leadership and direction for the organisation and ensures good governance.
We are looking for individuals with significant health sector experience at Chief Executive level and who are currently leading a major health organisation within Wales. A commitment to improving productivity and quality through workforce transformation is essential.
The Board meets every two months, though members will also be expected to contribute to the work of the Board outside the regular meetings. Board members are entitled to an honorarium, currently circa £8,000 pa, in addition to the usual expenses.
