Nic Greenfield
Nic Greenfield is Deputy Director of Workforce in the Department of Health but is currently acting as Director General of Workforce. Having completed 16 years in the RAF during which he qualified as a Chartered Company Secretary and a Chartered Management Accountant. Nic spent a short time as a senior lecturer at university and joined the National Health Service in September 1993.
He held a variety of senior appointments in the NHS as an accountant and Chief Executive joining the Department of Health in August 2004. Nic is now responsible for national policy on professional regulation, education and development for Health and Social Care, including allocation of the workforce development budget and NHS policy on pay and pensions.
